Entopix Vol. 1 - A Journal of Entomological Images
Plant Parastic Arthropods and Their Natural Enemies
This CD is comprised of more than 1,000 images and seven video clips of plant-parasitic arthropods and their natural enemies. The images are arranged in a taxonomical hierarchy and are contained in a catalog with figure legends and a searchable database of keywords. The CD ROM includes the major pests of vegetables, fruits, flowers, ornamental plants, and images of both the insect and the damage that they cause by feeding and other activities. In addition, several photographs show behavior that is rarely pictured (such as a wasp emerging from a mummified aphid). An index to each taxonomic group (family) is included. $260.00

The Biology of Cameraria ohridella
This video, by Ulrich Zunke and Gerhard Doobe, chronicles the feeding behavior and morphology of the horse-chestnut leaf miner, Cameraria ohridella, in Hamburg, Germany. The occurence, distibution, and population dynamics of three generations is documented and analyzed, and the morphology of all stages is investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy. Possibilities for control of this pest with insecticides, mechanical methods, and biological techniques are discussed (40 minutes on CD and DVD, in German only with plans for English translation). $49.95
