The illustrations consist of original photographs including light and electron micrographs of various nematode genera and species, symptoms of infection on host plants, symptoms seen in the field, nematologists, nematological institutions, and charts and diagrams useful for teaching. They are described with a figure legend and a catalog that can be searched by key words. $260.00
This volume is comprised of more than 1,000 images, eleven video clips and an archive of classical nematological literature including Cobb's entire book, Contributions to Nematology, as well as five original research publications. Volume two also contains 76 high-resolution images of the drawings included in Cobb's book and research publications, as well as photographs, charts and drawings by 23 nematologists from North America and Europe. The illustrations, video clips and literature archive are described in a catalog that can be searched by key words. $260.00
Volume 3 includes more than 950 images, 25 video clips, 7 nemasongs, 15 nematological books and articles, and contains photographs, charts, and drawings that can be used for teaching and other educational uses. Identification of the Most Common Genera of Plant-Parasitic Nematodes
A valuable tool for teaching the identification of nematodes, this video shows the live action and morphology of the most common plant-parasitic genera at both high and low magnifications. Genera shown include: Aphelenchoides, Belonolaimus, Criconemoides, Dolichodorus, Globodera, Helicotylenchus, Hemicycliophora, Heterodera, Hoplolaimus, Longidorus, Meloidogyne, Paratrichodorus, Paratylenchus, Pratylenchus, Rotylenchulus, Rotyulenchus, Scutellonema, Trichodorus, Tylenchorhynchus and Xiphinema. $99.95
Staining Chromosomes of Root-Knot Nematodes
Eugene McCabe demonstrates the technique developed by A. C. Triantaphyllou for staining the chromosomes of root-knot nematodes. If you have previously tried this technique and failed, this video will dramatically improve your chance of success. $24.95
Nematode Fighters
Richard M. Sayre, USDA Nematology Lab, Beltsville, MD presents Nematode Fighters . "Ask not what the plant can do for you. Ask what can I do for the plant?" Deep in the soil, the Nematode Fighters hear this challange. The fabulous four spring into action by seeking out one of the major pests of agricultural crops — THE NEMATODE. The amoeba, flatworm, fungus and tardigrade live on to feed another day! These Nematode Fighters proceed to locate and then destroy this round pest in this digitized video. $24.95

Identification Guides for the Most Common Genera of Plant-Parasitic Nematodes

This set of full-color guides, contained in a notebook, is an invaluable resource for teaching the identification of the most common genera of plant-parasitic nematodes. Each guide has a high resolution light micrograph, a list of key features that are useful for the identification, a general distribution, most common hosts, and a reference for two of the most recent and useful keys to species within the genus.

The entire set is comprised of more than 30 species of ectoparasites, migratory endoparasites, semi-endoparasites, and endoparasites. The collection of color plates is suitable for framing and a set for printing on a laser printer is included on a CD ROM. Purchase of the set includes permission to make a reasonable number of copies for teaching and other educational uses. $150.00

Nematology Laboratory Investigations, Vol. 1 - Morphology and Taxonomy consists of 25 time-tested investigations on the morphology and taxonomy of nematodes. Each lab has a brief introduction, clearly stated objectives, a list of resources required, and a worksheet outlining procedures for completing each exercise. The investigations are clearly illustrated with line drawings, and key questions are included.

Sample chapters include: Gross Morphology, Cuticular Markings, Cuticular Layering, Body Wall and Somatic Muscles. The instructor may print copies of the labs for each student from an included CD ROM. $150.00; CD only - $120

Pinewood Nematode Taxonomic Database

The pine wood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilous, is an economically important species that has caused severe injury to pine trees wherever it has been introduced. It is responsible for numerous quarantines on the movement of wood and wood products around the world.

This CD ROM contains all of the original descriptions of all of the species in the genus Bursaphelenchus. The documents can be examined with any software application that can open PDF files, most commonly Adobe Acrobat Reader. Additional information can be found in the README file. $49.95
